I've been here...made my mark on the beach

This trip we camped on the beach as much as in the wooded areas.
It was sunny, hot even, so we had trees to shade us back a ways. Still it was different to be on the beach mostly and watch pelicans fish.
This was one of our favorite trips, because it was a first fall trip, where we found pelicans close to shore. We really relaxed and enjoyed being together and in nature, as is our reason for being together, I guess. Best friends forever. Me and Mike...

Darling Dahlia

This dahlia is huge! About 9" across! It is from a first year tuber, the plant was planted late, and was only a foot tall when it put this on recently.
Wow, I love my dahlia!

Columbia Ferry.. Inside Passage to Alaska

Michael and I took My Grandkids up the inside passage to Alaska
on this trip. I love this photo.

We have been up on this ferry several times over the years, I recommend The Alaska Ferry to anyone who is considering a cruse ship, it is less expensive and more fun, if you're the outdoor type person.
